How do I play?

Start by selecting a family of images that inspires you, found in either the “Busts” or “Figures” section. Then, bring your creative vision to life.

The image should have a vertical dimension of 512 pixels.  (High enough to enjoy / low enough to not be stolen.) Ideally, your image should maintain the 8×10 or 8×12 aspect ratio that works best with our automated posting engine.

If your work was done non-digitally, please send us a properly lit photograph.  Let us know that is non-digital.

If you work digitally, feel free to work from a basis of one or more of the existing images.  However, please avoid “glad-to-happy” revisions.  (Yes, there will always be arguments about this.)  They will not be accepted.

Please provide a name or initials for us to post as the creator.  We greatly prefer, but do not require, that you use initials or a non-gender-revealing pseudonym.  Two reasons.   First, this is a site designed to showcase emerging artists.  We don’t want buyers shopping for a name. Second, in an internet setting, we have unfortunately found that many people’s interpretation of these pieces goes way too far down the rabbit hole of gender issues.  However, it is your call as to what creator-label to use.

How do I get paid?

First off, you name your price.  We take a 20% commission if it was delivered as a print.  Our printing/shipping fees are excluded from this calculation.  The price shown on the site will be for a 16×20 high resolution print of your image. So, the posted price will reflect a mark-up over your set level.

If a potential buyer wants to buy your non-digital original piece, we put you two in touch.  We do not get involved in the transaction nor take a commission.

This platform is non-exclusive. We encourage you to share your work as widely as possible to gain exposure!

What if I want to contribute a new individual work?

You are darn welcome to after you have contributed at least three “family contribution” pieces or sold one a piece.   We do not accept explicitly erotic art.  These can be of any resolution you are willing to accept the risk of it beginning ‘borrowed’.

What if I want to start a new image family?

Great.  Submit it.  If we accept it, it will get posted in the correct section.  You will receive 5% of our 20% commission (one-quarter share) on any sales.

What’s the deal with mosaics?

The process for rendering a digital image into a mosaic is proprietary to one of our contributors.  This process is a far cry from the rubberstamp version possible with Photoshop.  In these images, there are typically 20,000+ tiles with at least 5,000 different images.  Each is chosen to have the best possible match to the source tile.  Then each tile is individually tinted.  If you want to make some/all of your images available for being rendered as a mosaic, let us know.  There is typically a $150 surcharge on the price to the customer which yields an additional $30 commission to you.
